Seven days free, then two plans. They differ in one thing only: how much conversation fits in a month.
Seven days, free
You get the whole thing for a week. No plan to pick yet — that comes at the end, when you have something to go on.
After seven days it renews as a paid subscription unless you cancel. You can cancel any time before then and pay nothing.
Then, pick how you want to go on
Both include everything. The only difference is how much conversation each month holds.

Three times as much conversation a month. Nothing else changes.

If the month runs out
When most of your month is used, you get a heads-up, once. If it runs out, new conversation pauses until the date it resets — or until you change plans. Everything you've said is still there to read.
After a lot of conversation in a short stretch, it may also ask for a short break before picking back up. That's about how much, never about what you said.
Paying, changing and cancelling
On iPhone, iPad and Mac you pay through the App Store, and on Android through Google Play, in your local currency. On the web, you pay by card through Stripe.
Prices are set in US dollars. On the web you're charged in dollars, and it shows on your statement as an international transaction.
Moving to the bigger plan takes effect right away, and you pay only the difference for the rest of the period. Moving to the smaller one starts at your next renewal.
You cancel wherever you paid — in the store, or in Stripe on the web. When a subscription ends, your conversation and your companion stay; to talk again, you just subscribe again. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription, so cancel it there too.
We never see your card details. Payment is handled entirely by the store or by Stripe.
Subscriptions open when the app launches. Prices are in US dollars and may still change before then.
